Mid-Year Review: OD Adds Capacity to LTL Network with New Service Centers, People, and Equipment

Looking back on the first half of 2022, OD has been busy adding to each capacity component, including people, service centers, and equipment. Each plays a critical part in providing the service levels that customers have come to expect from OD, and gives us the ability to grow with your business. Here’s an overview of how OD has invested in each category.

People. The most critical part of our business is our OD Family of employees. Line haul truck drivers move your freight across the US. Local drivers pick up and deliver from your dock. Dockworkers handle your shipment with care at each touchpoint. Customer service staff leave you with peace of mind. Each OD employee group is critical to your shipping success. Since January, we’ve added more than 1,200 OD Family members to help keep your promises to your customer.

Equipment. Adding new trucks, trailers, and forklifts helps us meet your growing demand. We don’t miss a beat with one of the youngest fleets on the road. Working with OEMs, OD continues to take delivery of equipment at each of our 255 service centers.

Service Centers. Speaking of service centers, OD has added eight new or expanded facilities so far in 2022. Four new facilities in Byhalia, Mississippi, Westfield, Massachusetts, Lakeview, Minnesota, and Norcross, Georgia brings our total service center count up to 255. OD has expanded its facility in West Columbia, South Carolina, Mason City, Iowa, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Dayton, Ohio.

OD’s goal is to have excess capacity, so when your business grows, we are here to grow with you.
