Annual Ranking Recognizes OD For Employer Excellence for Second Consecutive Year
Forbes announced that Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. (OD) was named to its 2023 list of America’s Best Large Employers. The list evaluates employers based on direct and indirect recommendations from respondents who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employer to family and friends. OD was named to the list for the second consecutive year, and the fourth time in six years, for commitment to professional development, company culture, and employer excellence.
To curate America’s Best Employers list, Forbes worked with analytics firm Statista to conduct an independent survey of more than 60,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations. In total, 500 employers were recognized across 25 sectors, varying from technology and transportation to consumer, biotechnology, and financial services.
“We truly believe that our people are the secret sauce to our success. They come to work every day with one common goal: to help our customers keep their promises,” said President and CEO, Greg Gantt. “We’re honored to be recognized by Forbes again this year for being a top employer in the U.S. We know that our people come to work at OD to build a career and find purpose in their work, so we’re once again proud of this award.”
