Technology: Operational: RFID - Radio Frequency Identification

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an automated arrival / dispatch system which monitors equipment location and freight movement throughout the OD system.

Radio frequency identification tags are installed on all of our equipment. Tag readers, mounted at the entrance to our facilities, automatically record arrivals and departures and posts them to our computer mainframe. This provides a more accurate accounting of the movement and location of our equipment and assists us in shipment planning.
