Important Information for Caribbean Shippers
If you ship to Puerto Rico the US Government rules for documents have changed. If the product value is in excess of $2,500, you now have to file a Shippers Export Declaration (SED). Effective July 2nd, 2008, the SED must be filed using the US Custom’s Automated Export System (AES). Failure to do so will cause shipment delay and paper filings will be subject to penalties.
