Old Dominion Upgrades Allentown, Pennsylvania Service Center
Company relocates, celebrates 25 years in Lehigh Valley
ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania (March 25, 2013) – Marking its 25th year in Lehigh Valley, Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. today relocated and expanded its Allentown Service Center.
The company opened the 59-door service center to increase its capacity in the region, which spans parts of eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey. The facility currently employs 70 people.
Located at 350 and 370 Stoke Park Road in Bethlehem, the service center is strategically positioned near several major thoroughfares, including the Lehigh Valley Thruway (U.S. Route 22) and Interstates 78, 80 and 476.
“The new service center will allow Old Dominion to better serve Allentown and the surrounding area as we continue to grow in the marketplace,” said Dan Lamancusa, the manager of the Allentown Service Center. “We are thrilled to strengthen our presence in Allentown, and plan to continue the tradition of providing timely, responsive and reliable service to all our valued customers.”
The service center’s service area includes Bethlehem, Easton, Reading, Hazleton and Pottsville in Pennsylvania and Hackettstown, Belvidere, Flemington, Ringoes and High Bridge in New Jersey.
The relocation is part of a $95 million investment Old Dominion has committed to real estate purchases and expansion projects in 2013.
