Old Dominion Honored by Department of Defense for Support of Employees Serving in Arkansas National Guard and Reserve

TEXARKANA, Arkansas (Dec. 13, 2011) – The Arkansas Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense agency, honored Randall Argabright, manager of Old Dominion Freight Line’s Texarkana Service Center, with a Patriot Award.

The award recognizes Argabright’s and Old Dominion’s extraordinary support of Senior Airman Shane M. Dauzat, who serves in the United States Air Force Reserve. Dauzat has worked for Old Dominion for five-and-a-half years and is currently a lead dock hand in the company’s Texarkana Service Center.

“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve,” ESGR Southwest Arkansas Chair Paul Henley said.

“Randall Argabright was nominated for being highly supportive of the Reserve Service by his Reserve Component employee, Shane M. Dauzat,” Henley said.  “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s National Guard and Reserve units.”

Old Dominion employs 20 in its Texarkana terminal and 93 throughout Arkansas.
