Old Dominion Relocates West Palm Beach Service Center
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 17, 2010) - Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. relocated its West Palm Beach service center as part of a move to increase capacity in the area and increase overall efficiency.
The new 46-door service center is situated on a four-acre site located at 1102 Australian Ave. in Riviera Beach and will employ more than 30 employees. The facility is located less than a mile away from the previous site.
"We've seen a lot of growth in the West Palm Beach area, and by moving to a new facility, we are nearly doubling our capacity to handle that growth," said Hugh Morris, Old Dominion's vice president of the southern region. "This new service center will also allow us to improve our overall efficiency and help us keep our promise to customers by providing the best on-time delivery rate in the LTL industry."
The service center will operate under the leadership of Service Center Manager John Whitman. Old Dominion operates 212 service centers in the lower 48 states.
