Old Dominion Adds Transit Time Search to Mobile Web SiteCONTACT: THOMASVILLE, NC (March 23, 2010) -- A Transit Time utility for determining shipping times has been introduced into the Old Dominion Freight Line mobile web suite. By entering up to two sets of US or Canadian postal codes, users can instantly determine service days between locations. “Providing customers with the ability to easily calculate shipping days from a smart phone or other mobile device was a natural extension of the mobile applications we unveiled earlier this year,” stated Ken Erdner, Vice President of Information System & Technology. “Our mobile rate estimate application returned transit days alongside the cost; however, this new tool provides shipping times as a standalone function with minimal customer input.” The mobile Transit Time application is accessible from the Old Dominion mobile web site at http://www.odfl.com/mobi. The full Old Dominion web site is located at http://www.odfl.com.
