THOMASVILLE, NC (January 15, 2010) – Hugh Morris, Vice President of the Southern Region for Old Dominion Freight Line Inc., announced a Service Center Relocation in Birmingham, Alabama. The facility, formerly located at 600 Republic Circle, Birmingham, Al., has moved to its new location, a 100-door facility located on a twenty-five acre site at 601 Republic Street, Birmingham, Al.

According to Morris, the Birmingham Service Center will continue operations under the leadership of Service Center Manager Neil Popejoy, who will direct a staff of 60.

“The new Service Center will centrally locate OD allowing us to serve our customers in a more timely manner. We will now be closer to both I-65 and Corridor X which will result in shorter transit times. The new state-of-the-art service center will double our current freight capacity to better handle our customer’s needs,” said Morris.
