THOMASVILLE, N.C. (June 23, 2009) – Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. announces a new nationwide White Glove service effective June 29th, a specialized product delivery service to serve specialized delivery needs for manufacturers and retailers.

“We are pleased to offer this new service, which ranges from a basic delivery across the threshold to a more extensive service that includes unpacking, assembly and debris removal. This service adds additional value that permits Old Dominion to help companies keep their promises,” said Marty Freeman, Vice President Sales.

The service is comprised of over 1,100 two-person delivery teams, equipped to handle delicate packages from the shipper to residential, medical and retail facilities with real-time track and trace capabilities, while providing flexible delivery windows with confirmed appointments. White Glove service is available to all zip codes in the contiguous United States at four service levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
