OD Director of Field Maintenance Tom Newby Receives Career Leadership Award from Commercial Carrier Journal

Thomasville, NC (May 11, 2006) - Thomas Newby, Old Dominion Freight Line's Director of Field Maintenance, received Commercial Carrier Journal's 2006 Career Leadership Award at a dinner held in his honor earlier this year.

Newby joined Old Dominion Freight Line in 2000, and is an ASE-Certified Master Heavy Duty Truck Technician, certified Director of Maintenance/Equipment, and a member of the Technology and Maintenance Council.

Commercial Carrier Journal started the Career Leadership Award in 1976, under its former name Fleet Maintenance Executive Career Leadership Award. The award is bestowed upon those demonstrating professionalism and excellence in technology and maintenance management.
