Old Dominion Opens New Service Center in North Georgia

Thomasville, North Carolina (April 17, 2006) - Hugh Morris, Vice President of the Southern Region for Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc., announced the early April opening of a new service center in N. Georgia. The 70 door facility will be located on a 10 acre site at 347 Henry D Robinson Boulevard in Pendergrass, Georgia.

According to Morris the N. Georgia, Georgia Service Center will begin operations under the leadership of Manager of Sales & Service, Steve Steese who will direct a staff of 77.

Commenting further on the opening, Morris added: “The N. Georgia Service Center will give us more efficient access into the Northeast Georgia market area and give us the capacity to grow business in this area. It will also increase capacity in our South Atlanta Service Center in Conley. Our customers can expect earlier deliveries and quicker response times for shipments they are moving to their end customers.”
