Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. Opens New Service Center At Ocala, FloridaCONTACT: Hugh Morris Thomasville, North Carolina (January 29, 2006) - Hugh Morris, Vice President of the Southern Region for Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc., announced the opening of a new service center in Ocala, Florida. The 40 door facility will be located on a 10 acre site at 1702 Southwest 42nd Avenue. According to Morris, the Ocala Service Center will begin operations under the leadership of Manager of Sales & Service, Patrick Quade who will direct a staff of 24. Commenting further on the opening, Morris added, “Ocala will help us to better serve our customers in the Central Florida market area as well as to expand our next-day services in the Florida Intra-Market. Customers in Ocala and surrounding cities can expect to receive earlier deliveries than we have been able to provide from our Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville service centers. We needed this facility to provide the JIT (Just-In-Time) and JIS (Just-In-Sequence) services needed in the rapidly growing Ocala market. This type of time-definite scheduling allows our customers to better manage their inventory sequencing and allows Old Dominion the flexibility to meet the ever-changing needs of Central Florida market customers.” Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is a leading less-than-truckload (LTL) super regional carrier.
