OLD DOMINION OPENS SERVICE CENTER IN LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANAThomasville, North Carolina (December 30, 2005) - Gerry Broadwell, Vice President of the South Central Region at Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc., announced the opening of a new service center in Lafayette, Louisiana. The new 12 door service center is located on a 2 acre site at 6029 North University Avenue in nearby Carencro. Operations begin January 2nd with a staff of 5. Commenting on the opening, Broadwell said: “We are very excited to introduce Old Dominion’s unique transportation solutions to the Lafayette market. The opening of Lafayette will improve service to hard to reach areas along the Louisiana Gulf Coast. The addition of Lafayette will strengthen our intrastate and regional coverage.” Old Dominion now has a total of 24 service centers in its South Central Region of Operations including two others in Louisiana: Alexandria and Baton Rouge.
