Job Responsibilities
- Solicit truck load and volume shipments.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate rates for services, with assisted authority.
- Maintain Customer contacts and files.
- Communicate with various other carriers for available trucks, and negotiate pricing.
- Able to coordinate directions to customers with drivers.
- Maintain communication with drivers.
- Handle claims-related calls for loss or damage.
- Furnish Proof of Delivery at customer request.
- Track all shipments for on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- Good telephone and communication etiquette.
- Computer literate to include AS400, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Sales experience is helpful.
- Accounting and/or Accounts Payable background with data entry experience is helpful.
- Multi-task skills.
- Good work and attendance record.
