Employment: Information Technology : SAP Java Programmer

Job Summary

This full time position requires a person with Java software development experience and will be responsible for developing and maintaining Java applications, along with the design and creation of database tables. As a member of the SAP Applications team, this person will work with technical staff, users, and management to design applications and solve business-related problems. He/she will be expected to quickly ramp up on the design and code of existing web applications and provide support as required.

Job Requirements

Support and enhance existing Web applications including:

• Develop and maintain Java applications in a Websphere App. Server/WDSC environment
• Design and create database tables and queries
• Test and debug applications
• Develop web services for internal and external consumption
• Create web applications that interface with legacy and SAP applications
• Create web applications that interface with external parties
• Develop system documentation for training and support purposes
• Implement system changes according to the ODFL change management process
• Provide SOX documentation in accordance with department standards
• Use Planview to capture all time spent on assigned projects and tasks

Job Requirements:

• Technical or 4 Year Degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Java application software development
• Java, J2EE, XML/.XSL, HTML, PHP, DB2, FTP, & JavaScript experience
• Websphere Application Server & WDSC experience
• Proficiency in system/application design, testing, and end-user support
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint is a plus
• Experience with PC tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work as part of a team in a multi-tasking environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
