Employment: Clerical: Global Coordinator
Job Summary
The OD Global Operations Coordinator is a key part of the overall global department organization and responsible for handling correspondence with customers and service providers, performing international Customer Service as well as tracking shipments, performing system updates, issuing documents, and coordination of customer brokerage amongst other duties.
Specific Duties include but not limited to:
- Assist with Booking and coordination of ocean import and international air freight import shipments
- Communication with OD Global partners, agents and service providers as required to meet customer expectations.
- Proactive communications with customers regarding shipment status changes….etc.
- Monitor the movement of all bookings to insure timely service and proactive customer communication.
- Assist with invoicing OD Global ocean & air shipments as required.
- Coordinate other functions, projects, reports and duties as requested by management.
- Develop creative solutions to complex transportation problems.
- Insure all OD tracking systems and files are updated
- Coordination of necessary documents between the customer, the broker and overseas
- Work closely with local Solutions Specialists, Global Solution Specialists and Global Sales Managers to continue growing the business throughout the region.
Job Specifications/Requirements:
- Minimum Education - High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Education – Bachelors Degree in Business, Management or Logistics
- Minimum 1-3 years experience with a freight forwarder, NVOCC or Logistics company
- Excellent communication skills
- Word and Excel experience
- Self motivated
- Minimal travel
