Employment: Management/Professional: Global Coordinator - Export

Job Summary

The OD Global Operations Coordinator is a key part of the overall global department organization and responsible for all aspects of exports from the US to include but not limited to processing rates estimates, handling all correspondence with customers and service providers, performing international Customer Service as well as tracking shipments, providing system updates, issuing documents, and coordination of the SED’s

Job Duties:

• Processing rate estimates to customers within a reasonable amount of time
• Assist with booking and coordination of ocean exports and use of OD’s preferred carriers
• Communication with OD Global partners, agents and service providers as required to meet customer expectations.
• Proactive communications with customers regarding shipment status changes….etc.
• Monitor the movement of all bookings to insure timely service and proactive customer communication.
• Coordinate other functions, projects, reports and duties as requested by management or the customer.
• Develop creative solutions to complex transportation problems.
• Insure all OD tracking systems and files are updated
• Coordination of necessary documents between the customer, the broker and overseas
• Work closely with local Solutions Specialists, Global Solution Specialists and Global Sales Managers to continue growing the business throughout the region.

Job Specifications/Requirements:

• Minimum Education - High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Education – Bachelors Degree in Business, Management or Logistics
• Minimum Experience - 1-3 years export experience with a freight forwarder, NVOCC, Logistics company or
• Customs Broker
• Excellent communication skills
• Word and Excel experience
• Self motivated / Self Starting with minimal supervision
• Minimal travel
• No relocation assistance provided
